Places to Bring Your Bachelor or Bachelorette Party

It's your last night out on the town. What should you do? You can have some especially good times in Little Rock or stray a little further.

Many of these venues would be perfect for male or female parties (and just a night out on the town), so I haven't separated them.
1

The River Market

In Little Rock, the River Market is really the only place you need to go to find good food, music, lots of fun bars and a fun night out with friends. Try bars like Ernie Biggs (a piano bar), the Flying Saucer and Sticky Fingerz.

The best part of the River Market is that you can get to all of these locations without driving. If you book your group in a downtown hotel, you can get away without a designated driver.
2

Oaklawn/Tunica

If it's live racing season, nothing beats Oaklawn in Hot Springs for a fun day of gambling with your friends. Consider staying the night in Hot Springs. They do have some electronic gambling, but it's probably really not worth moving your party there during the offseason.

During the offseason, it's better to hit one of the many nearby casinos. I prefer Tunica. It's about a two and half hour drive from Little Rock. There is a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, which is about four hours away from Little Rock and a Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs (about 3 and a half hours from Little Rock).

Camping

If your friends have a whole weekend, why not do something different and go camping or take a float trip down the Buffalo National River. You can bring your own alcohol and a sense of adventure. It will probably be a more memorable bonding experience than hitting the bars downtown.
4

Go Shooting

There are many shooting ranges in and around Little Rock. Visiting one with your group would be a great way to spend the afternoon. However, you should probably save the drinking for later that evening.
5

Go Bowling

Professor Bowl (901 Towne Oaks, 501-224-9040) is the biggest bowling alley in Little Rock. If you don't mind a drive, try Millennium Bowl (7200 Counts Massie Road, 501-791-9150) in Maumelle.
6

Painting with Alcohol

Spirited Art (5612 R St in Little Rock, 501-296-9903) and Painting With a Twist (4178 East McCain Boulevard in North Little Rock, 501-352-1366) offer painting sessions with wine. It's mostly geared towards ladies, but they don't discriminate if you guys want to have a party there. They do offer group sessions where you get an instructor, canvases and a private room for your party.
7

Strip Clubs

Every guy that I asked said there are no good strip clubs in Little Rock. You need to head to Memphis for that. That being said, many agreed that the PaperMoon was the best there is, and worth going to if you were looking for that sort of thing. The PaperMoon is located on 3310 Mabelvale Pike, 501-562-9044. Currently, you can get a free admission coupon on their site, but the cover charge is normally $10.
8

"Passion Parties"

For the ladies, you can have a passion consultant schedule a special presentation/party at your home for your wedding party.  These parties are free (they expect and want you to buy some of the "toys").  More information.
9

The Electric Cowboy / Disco

If you're looking for a true "club" atmosphere, the Electric Cowboy and Disco are you best options. The Cowboy is mostly the type of place you can line dance and listen to country music, but some nights are more top 40 type dance nights. They are located at 9515 Interstate 30. The Discovery aka "Disco" has 35,000 square feet of space and multiple types of dancing, including top 40 and techno, drag shows and a game area. More nightlife.
