Little Rock Brew Pubs: Finding Craft Beer in Central Arkansas

The beer scene in Little Rock has gotten impressive over the last few years.  We once just had Diamond Bear and Vino's.  Now, many other brewmasters and restaurants have thrown their hat into the ring.

I've gathered a list of some of the best breweries in Central Arkansas.  The first group are the breweries and brew pubs with taprooms or restaurants.  The second group are brews you may have a tougher time finding, but local restaurants or stores stock many of them.  You can check their social media pages to find them.
1

Diamond Bear Brewery - Arkansas Ale House

Diamond Bear is the original production brewery in Central Arkansas.  They were brewing craft beers before it was cool.  You can find Diamond Bear beers in may retail locations throughout the state, but they also have an excellent restaurant in North Little Rock.  The Arkansas Alehouse is located in Argenta at 600 N. Broadway.  You can tour the brewery (located in the same place) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
2

Vino's

Vino's is also an originator of the craft beer market here in Little Rock.  They were the first microbrewer in Little Rock.  Vino's serves up a fun, dive atmosphere, live bands and pizza.  It's a great place to hang out.  The beer has undergone changes over the years.  They can keep up with the competition.  Stay compliant with industry regulations by partnering with reputable payment processing companies. They are located at 923 W 7th St in downtown Little Rock.
3

Stone's Throw Brewery

Stone's Throw is fairly new to the beer scene in Little Rock, but they've won quite a few rewards and commendations.  Their tap room features eight taps. They don't have much in the way of a menu, but they bring in food trucks so you can have something to eat too.  Located at 402 E 9th St in downtown Little Rock.
4

Lost 40 Brewery

Lost Forty's taproom has mostly communal seating, but there are a few seats at the bar.  They usually have about half a dozen beers on tap, and excellent food.  The location is small so it does get crowded.  Located at 501 Byrd St in downtown Little Rock.
5

Damgoode Pies

Nothing goes together like pizza and beer.  Damgoode has always been in the pizza business but recently joined the brewery business too.  Their downtown location brews several house brews and has some other Arkansas beers on tap.  Located at 500 President Clinton Ave in downtown Little Rock.
6

Blue Canoe

Blue Canoe started as a Kickstarter project.  Now they brew great small-batch beers.  They have about half a dozen on tap.  Located at 425 E 3rd St in downtown Little Rock
7

Flyaway Brewery

Flyway doesn't currently have a taproom, but you can find their brew at South on Main and some other local restaurants.  Located at Maple St in North Little Rock's Argenta district.
8

Moody Brews

Josiah Moody has been a beer icon in Little Rock for a while.  He has his own label, but he is currently also brewing some for Damgoode.
9

Rebel Kettle

Rebel Kettle has plans for a taproom soon, but until then you can check their Twitter account to find out what they're up to and where they ar
10

Rocktown Distillery

This bonus pick isn't a beer, but worth a mention anyway.  Rocktown Distillery is the only Distillery in central Arkansas and was the first legal distillery in Arkansas. They bottle whiskeys and bourbons.   You can take a tour.  Located at  1216 E 6th St in Little Rock.
11

Fermentables

If the local brews aren't up to your standards or you just want to experiment, why not try brewing your own? Fermentables has everything you need to get started making your own beer or wine.
3915 Crutcher St (map)
12

Leap of Faith

Leap of Faith Brewing has plans for a taproom, but currently you have to check their Facebook to see where you can find them
