706 Center Street
This was formerly known as the Torture Chamber and they’ve been a Central Arkansas Halloween can’t miss attraction for a very long time.  The new haunt is extremely graphic and gory and even better than the old one.  It’s got multiple scenes and they claim the warehouse is really haunted. You must be in very good health, no seizure disorders and must be able to crouch and crawl. Admission is $20 or $25 for a fast pass on Halloween, and $15/20 all other days. Open from 7-10 p.m. on weekdays and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. 501-315-8300.

This year the theme is “Vampire Sanctum.” They have three haunted mazes with live actors and multiple scare zones.  It takes about 45 minutes to make it through.   Admission $18.09 plus tax.   Recommended for ages 13 and up.  501-753-8600

EMOBA’s Haunted Cathedral (Little Rock) KF *

1208 Louisiana Avenue
This Haunted House has a lot of animatronics, which is why I call it kid-friendly.  It used to be a really tame haunted house, but they upped their game a little.  It may just be too scary for very small kids (but probably not, and the actors seemed aware of not being to scary for the little ones).  Admission is $15 ($20 on Halloween).  Opens at 7:30 p.m.  501-661-9903

Haunted Hotel (Little Rock)
October 1, 6-8, 13-15, 18-22, 24-31. Open from 7-10 p.m. on weekdays, and 7-12 on weekends
3400 Brown Street
This is an old standby haunt too, but they up their game every year.  This is a new location for them, but it has hosted haunts before.  Admission is $15 most days and $20 on Halloween.  501-804-8883

The Reaper Haunted House (North Little Rock)
October 5-6, 12-13 and 18-31 from 7 to 11 p.m.
6016 Crystal Hill Rd.
This is a maze type haunted house with over 15,000 square feet of horror with 30 scenes. They have live actors.  It’s not really kid friendly, but not super scary.   If you have an older kid, they will probably be ok.  Admission is $15 + tax.  501-400-3116
