Northwest Arkansas has some great scenery and even Little Rock has some spots for great foliage viewing. Arkansas has a wide variety of tree species, so you often get mixes of vibrant reds, oranges and gold all in the same general area. It's held on the second Friday and Saturday of October and the real reason is to celebrate wild turkeys and turkey hunting. Like any great festival, it has crafts and great food. This one has a turkey calling contest too.via yellville.com6Wiederkehr Village WeinfestCelebrate Arkansas wine at this festival. The festival celebrates with winery tours, grape stomps, arts and crafts, conga lines and sing-a-longs. They do tram rides through the vineyards during the festival too. It's usually held the the second weekend in October. They have rice threshing demonstrations and lawnmower races. There's also lots of rice-related fun. Vendors fill the parking lot, fields and the mill with their wares. You'll find all kinds of handmade arts and crafts, like home decor, folk art, painting, pottery, glasswork, soaps, jewelry, clothing and furniture.
