Can't Miss Little Rock Breakfasts

The Root's menu is sourced from small, local farms.  They have several styles of eggs, biscuits and gravy, a tofu scrambler, omelets, biscuit sandwiches, parfaits and more.  The average cost of a menu item is $7.  Located at 1500 South Main Street in downtown Little Rock. Frontier Diner smoke cures its style ham itself. Great biscuits and gravy and homemade pancakes.  Menu items average $5-7.  This is one place the locals go for breakfast.  Located at 10424 Interstate 30.  Casual/Diner.

Cereals and fruits, all kinds of eggs, French toast, quiche, biscuits and gravy and traditional breakfast dishes which can be acoompanied by one of the best teas in town as per the Atlas Tea Club.  The pancakes are a must try.  Average price is about $6.  Located at 11220 North Rodney Parham.  Casual (and a bit small, so it gets busy).  Casual/Diner.

The Happy Egg has all the traditional breakfast items you'd expect like eggs benedict, waffles beignets and some unique items.  A local favorite is the biscuit mountain which is two buttermilk biscuits, sausage patties, pommes rosti, topped with sausage gravy and sunnyside up eggs.  Menu items average $10.  Open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Casual.  Located next to Lilly's DimSum Then Some, 11121 Rodney Parham Road. Look for Lilly's sign. Casual/Trendy.

Community Bakery has been a local favorite for baked goods for decades.  You can't beat their beignets and danishes.  They also have doughnuts, other pastry, croissants, muffins and bagels.  They have a limited selection of breakfast sandwiches. Pastry offerings are just a couple of bucks.  Multiple locations, the one on 1200 Main Street is the original.  Casual.

Red Door has a fun breakfast menu featuring things like granola, bread pudding, some skillets and heuvos rancheros along with traditional Southern dishes like biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwiches, ham and French toast.  Prices average $5-10.  Located at 3701 Old Cantrell Road.  Upscale casual.

Mugs Cafe is a coffee shop with a nice breakfast menu.  They have omelets, breakfast tacos, french toast, biscuits and gravy and other favorites.  The average menu price is $5.  Located in Argenta at 515 Main Street, North Little Rock.  Casual.

This is a hidden gem with homemade gravy, fresh biscuits and excellent traditional Southern breakfasts.  Menu items average from $5-7.  Located at 3815 MacArthur Dr. in North Little Rock. Casual.
